A Word from Kris Vallotton
Today, we want to share a video clip from Kris Vallotton, one of the main speakers at Converge School Leaders Training, in which Kris talks about the formation of Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry (BSSM). More specifically, he shares how God formed a covenant relationship between him and Bill Johnson, and how this divine friendship served as the foundation of the school. When starting your school, there is immense value in finding your people:
“I believe that everybody has a purpose in life, but what I’m learning is that, more importantly, everybody has a people. Until you find your people, you actually don’t have a purpose, because your purpose is divinely in your people.” Kris Vallotton
Kris goes on to talk about the first few years of BSSM. During the school’s first year, there were 37 students. The second year there were 68 students, 128 in the third, and 172 in the fourth. Kris used to dream of a day when the school would have 300 students. Now, BSSM has over 2,000 students across three programs and from many different nations!
We wanted to encourage you with this testimony and remind you, “Do not despise small beginnings” (Zechariah 4:10). Even if you just have a few students in your school, God will take what you have and multiply it for His glory! Never compare your beginning to someone else’s end. God has a special plan for you and for your school, and He will be faithful to bring it to pass.
