Converge Highlight: Creating a Culture for Powerful Leaders

Videos

A Word from Dann Farrelly

BSSM Dean, Dann Farrelly, is one of our favorite teachers. Last year at our Converge School Leaders Training, he shared incredible insight into building a team culture for powerful leaders.

According to Dann, building a culture for powerful leaders starts with choosing people who have a capacity for love, loyalty, and longevity. Within a school leadership team, these values communicate:

  • We are for one another’s highest and best good
  • We gather around our covenant, not our agreement
  • We work through conflict towards resolution
  • We prioritize faithful friendship within our team

If you are in the beginning stages of forming your school leadership team, we encourage you to pursue those who love well, demonstrate loyalty, and serve with endurance. If you are already running with your team, take some time to think and pray about how these values can be a greater part of the foundation of your team’s culture. As these values permeate your leadership, students will experience the fruit of your thriving relationships.
